I’ve been wanting to build another star fighter since my Scorpion Starfighter in 2014, but never got around to it. The Star Fighter category in Space Jam gave me just the motivation I needed to finally get one built.
John bought me some magnets for Christmas, and I based the main play function around those by having a magnetic docking bay that houses a small speeder, or can capture small delinquent vehicles. The ship is based off the Space Police II theme, and I took inspiration from Chris Perron’s gorgeous Enforcer. And of course as a SP II ship it has to have prison pods! There are also two technic missile launchers and opening cockpits on the small speeders and main star fighter.
The Magnetic Mediator is one of Space Police’s most feared patrol vehicles due to its accompanying police speeder and powerful electromagnets that make it nearly impossible for a small craft to escape its pursuit. Larger criminal vessels have to be wary of its heavy missile payloads and laser turrets.
