And we’re back with more furniture techniques!
Let’s start off with a simple counter that fits well in an inn or medieval shop
Scroll bricks give some nice decoration while a row of 1×1 round plates simulates carved wood.
Top it off with some 2×2 jumper plates.
And then it’s ready to be covered with food or other goods.
Second is an ornate gold candlestick John designed. These three elements are stacked to make the first section.
And then are topped by an inkwell and 2×2 dish.
The candle itself is made of a technic pin and lever handle
Which gives a nice approximation of a unlighted candle with wick.
This next design is a handy kitchen implement for hanging pots over the fireplace.
One thing to note with this design is that the stand will need to be attached to the floor or the weight of the pot will tip it over.
Last is a narrow cupboard.
The brick modified with stud would need to be brown if you wanted the back of the cupboard to be visible.
A few jumper plates and 1×1 round plates make up the drawer knobs.
And a 2×4 plate and 2×4 tile are used on each side.
Similar to the base of the cupboard, use a 2×3 plate with your choice of tiles or jumper plates to cap it all off.
Have fun using these designs in your own models and let us know if you have any questions or suggestions for future posts!
That candlestick is lovely – and the singed wick really adds to the veracity.
