This guide takes a look at the technique I used in my 08 Nighthawk model to achieve a large tapering cylinder.
The cylinder itself is mostly four stud wide sections connected by hinge plates. And then some 1×2 hinge bricks allow for the tapering effect.
Assemblies like this use 1×2 panels and 1×2 cheese to fill gaps.
Then they’re attached to the 1×2 hinge bricks.
Depending on where the section is located on the cylinder, the SNOT assembly varies slightly.
Technically I only did a half cylinder, but you could continue the pattern shown before to get a complete circle.
