A look behind the scenes at what went into making Amfridus the Inventor.
This build was unique, in that there were essentially two different bases, connected by only water and one rock arch:
I was trying to create a very whimsical atmosphere with this MOC, so the colors of the landscape were much more vibrant and bright than is realistic:
The rock arch was challenging, in that it was angled across the stream, but still needed to be attached solidly.
The beginning of the inventor’s cave workshop. I tilted the window to add to the wacky look:
Finished the small section of rock, and the connecting arch:

Then I added the waterfall, which was a bit different than my usual ones, in that the whole thing fell outside the rockwork:
Now it’s time to start on Amfridus’ home:
The wooden house sections were also slightly tilted, using mixel joints and plate and tile supports:
